The Back Door Mission for the Relief of Poverty
In 1997 we founded The Back Door Mission for the relief of poverty. With the rapidly rising demand for these such services the Back Door Mission after 18 years of faithful program at Simcoe Street United, was provincially chartered as a separate non-profit corporation by the Ontario government in 2014 and is now an outreach mission of the United Church that shares the Church building with our congregation, staff, visitors and volunteers.
THEIR MISSION The mission of the Back Door Mission for the Relief of Poverty is to help relieve the burdens of poverty and social dislocation within the economically deprived and street population of Oshawa. |
