Special SSUC Thank Offering
Finally, we are encouraging folks to give a special thank offering for the ministry of this church that spans the last 150 years. Perhaps it is because you were married here, or shared in a baptism, or were part of a special group, or were enriched somehow in your spiritual journey at Simcoe Street. Whatever the encounter, there is a thankfulness attached to it!
Our special Thank offering will help with our financial commitments as we prepare to merge with Kingsview United Church. This will include honouring our long serving lay staff who will be seeking employment elsewhere. Part of this fund will go to offering just and
caring severance as part of our legacy. There are other commitments we need to fulfill between now and August when we will close our books and business as a community. Any residue will be used as we continue ministry at Kingsview UC. You can make a thank offering at the link below between now and April 21.
